Our philosophy is sustainability by all means
In planning our product packaging, we thoughtfully considered environmental impact, delivery distances, and how our choices would influence the end price of the product. With respect to all the above, we chose to package our creams and serums in airless pump dispensers with refillable internal cartridges and airless tubes, thus extending the lifecycle and usability of our products and contributing to the creation of a circular economy.
Our Tubairless tubes, with their lightest airless design and special cap, ensure precise dosage and prevent microbiological contamination. Our refill cartridges reflect our commitment to minimizing environmental impact while delivering high-quality skincare. We use fully recycled plastic for primary packaging and eco-friendly paper for secondary packaging.

Founder of Labrains, PhD, Chemist, Environmental specialist,
Biochemistry Lecturer at Turība University, Latvia
Her research in natural skincare solutions for sensitive and problematic skin, empowering confidence and beauty, was inspired by own battle with rosacea. A leader in sustainability and innovation, Līga inspires future generations of women in science and business.
Struggling with her skin condition for nearly two years after giving birth, she faced depression and an inability to live a normal life. Despite various treatments and products - from pharmaceutical to natural - nothing worked. Her research into ingredients revealed that many products contained elements harmful to her sensitive and irritated skin. This realization ignited her passion to create science-backed, nature-inspired skincare, pioneering a movement that goes beyond a pure creation of skincare.
In 2018, she secured a €1,000,000 European scientific grant to study the skin's deepest layers. In collaboration with six other female scientists, she developed 18 targeted formulations to repair, protect, and nourish the skin. Each product underwent 1,000 clinical tests to ensure efficacy, safety, and long-term effects.
What Līga created wasn't just another beauty brand - it was a scientific revolution in skincare. With major export markets in Germany and the Netherlands, Labrains continues to set new benchmarks in the skincare industry. Expanding Labrains from Europe into Middle East is a major milestone of a movement that will inspire change for many.

Our team plays a vital role in our journey, featuring science passionate chemical technologists, quality & production specialists. Notably, women make up 51% of Latvian scientists, one of the highest percentages in the European Union. LABRAINS is unique as a women-led clean beauty research and manufacturing company, backed by six expert chemists.
CLINICAL TESTS
Inflammation is a major contributor to various skin conditions, including rosacea, acne, dermatitis, and premature aging. This inflammation can become more severe during illness, requiring the skin to detoxify from harmful substances. When our skin develops microtears and fails to act as an effective barrier against environmental stressors, pollutants such as allergens, dust, microorganisms, and toxins can penetrate deeper into the skin. This includes irritants found in both natural eco-cosmetics and conventional cosmetics. To achieve optimal results, skincare should be free from these irritants and harmful substances, and should genuinely mimic the natural properties of our skin rather than merely providing a smooth and intact appearance.
THE RESEARCH GOALS
The primary goal of our research was to delve into the deepest layers of the skin to develop 18 targeted formulations aimed at enhancing the overall health and natural protection of the skin. Upon completing the scientific research, each product underwent 1,000 clinical tests to confirm its efficacy, safety, and long-term benefits.

In contrast, the image on the right demonstrates that after just two months of using LABRAINS products, we successfully reduced and eliminated microtears, improved all skin layers, and enhanced the skin's natural biochemical processes to strengthen its barrier. Our approach is inspired by nature and supported by research.
